Free calculators for the sums people in Ireland actually need to do: take-home pay, stamp duty, motor tax, inheritance tax and more.

Most calculator sites are built once and left alone. Tax rates are not. Bands, credits and thresholds change every Budget, and some changes, such as PRSI each October, land in the middle of a year. A calculator that is a year out of date gives a confident wrong answer.

So every rate on this site lives in one place, with the date it applies from, the date we last checked it, and a link to the official source. When a Budget announces something that is not yet law, we show it as announced. The full list is on rates and sources, and recent updates are on what changed.

What we do not do

• We do not ask for your name, email or PPS number. Calculations run in your browser and are not sent anywhere.
• We do not sell leads to brokers, banks or insurers.
• We do not give financial advice. Results are estimates to help you understand your position. For decisions, check with Revenue, Citizens Information or a qualified adviser.
